Locally owned and operated, Double M Safety Services offers services to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and surrounding communities. Let our qualified professionals help you gain the knowledge required for your safety!

We offer safety training with state of the art equipment and up to date materials.  Our instructors have field experience and are passionate in providing you with the knowledge to work safe. The oil/gas and construction industry can be hazardous environments to work in! Protect yourself with training provided by us.

Courses


ENFORM H2S ALIVE

One day course for all workers who could be exposed to Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S). The primary focus is to keep those working around a H2S environment safe. This course covers the physical properties, health hazards and possible locations of H2S. You will learn of hazard assessments, controls for hazards, gas detection and initial response strategy. Each student will be required to operate a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and perform rescue lifts and drag exercises. Certification is valid for three years.

Course begins at 8 a.m. sharp! Please be on time.

WHMIS/GHS

Four hour course covering the basics of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). The new Globally Harmonized System will also be reviewed, this will replace WHMIS by June 2015.  It provides workers with the general knowledge and skills to work safely around hazardous materials. This course covers worker education, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and workplace labelling. This course is offered the same day as TDG.  Certification is valid for three years.

TDG

Four hour course which is intended for individuals who are involved with the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG). Topics include; TDG legislation, classification, safety marks, documentation, safe handling and incident reporting. Certification is valid for three years.

Course begins at 1 p.m.

 

CONFINED SPACE AWARENESS/ENTRY

One day course providing individuals the information needed to be familiar with the potential hazards of working in a confined space. Also the requirements necessary to control those hazards prior to entry. Topics include; applicable legislation, definitions, elements of a confined space program, hazard assessment, entry plan, entry permit, confined space controls, responsibilities and on-site rescue. This course follows guidelines for Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety. Certification is valid for three years.

Course begins at 8 a.m.

 

FALL PROTECTION

One day course designed for anyone who may work near fall hazards or use fall protection equipment. The program will provide a knowledge base for an effective fall protection program. Topics include; applicable legislation, definitions, fall protection equipment, falling hazards, development of rescue procedures and emergency planning. This course follows guidelines for Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety. Certification is valid for three years.
